You CAN download the mod from the Google Drive link above and install it on the Steam version if you want, following the same instructions above. Missions downloaded via the Steam workshop also have their own separate tab when selecting new scenarios (3rd in a row, after "default" and "user"). The mod version on Steam and the mod version up for download here are completely identical content-wise, but have slightly different file structure. That's all - now you can launch the game and play the new maps and units! The mod must be enabled (as per instructions above), however, in order to play the ten included scenarios. However, I recommend playing with the included DB, especially on the Grozny map which was designed specifically with the mod's database in mind. Note: this step is optional if you're only interested in the maps, and you can play with default Cold War era units on the new maps if you want.
